Is Will Smith’s Career Officially Over?
Will Smith is one of the more recognizable Hollywood stars. His acting career has spanned nearly thirty years, and he has gained a reputation for being box office gold. But is his career officially over?
Recent Movie Releases
Will Smith recently appeared in two movies that did not perform quite as well as some of his earlier releases. His latest feature film Gemini Man was a major flop, and turned out to be one of the biggest box office duds in recent years. His other release, Aladdin, performed better but still failed to impress critics.
He’s Not Retiring
Despite the recent disappointment, Smith has insisted that he’s not retiring and that he has plenty more projects coming up. He’s already signed up to appear in the movie Bad Boys for Life and has made numerous other commitments, showing no signs of slowing down.
A Possible Revival?
It looks like Will Smith may just have a few bad movies. He certainly still has the potential to make some great ones. What he needs is an opportunity to demonstrate his acting prowess in a role that allows him to shine.
Critically Acclaimed Movies
Although Will Smith’s last few releases were commercial flops, he did have some critically acclaimed movies during his illustrious career. Some of his notable works include:
- The Pursuit of Happyness
- The Legend of Bagger Vance
- I Am Legend
It is too early to say that Smith’s career is officially over. He certainly has some good movies in his repertoire and he looks ready to secure more. All he needs is an opportunity to prove himself, and he could be back on top in no time.
