Finding the Right Career for You
Having a great career is an important part of everyone’s life. It can provide security and a sense of accomplishment, and that’s why it’s so important to figure out what you want to do.
Explore Your Interests
Before rushing into a career choice, take the time to evaluate your interests, values and skills and how they align with various jobs:

Research and Network
Do your research. Once you’re clear on what you want to do, dive into your research. Learn as much as possible about different roles and industries, and reach out to people in the field to gain valuable insights:
- Research related roles and industries: Read up on different careers to get an idea of what they entail and the qualifications they require. Look at industry trends and the current job market to help narrow down your choices.
- Talk to people in the industry: Networking is key when it comes to career planning. Reach out to professionals in different industries to gain insight and ask questions about what the job is really like.
- Take advantage of career services: Universities and community organizations often offer career planning or job search events and services. Launching your career can be easier if you have a coach or mentor to help you navigate the job search process.
