An Overview of CMC’s Missed Games
Christian McCaffrey, commonly referred to as CMC, is a running back for the Carolina Panthers and arguably one of the best players of the current NFL season. Speaking of his career, however, one might ask – how many games has he actually missed in his career?
Number of Missed Games Between 2017 and 2020
Between 2017 and 2020, CMC has only played standard 16 regular season games twice. In his rookie season, he missed 3 games due to a shoulder injury, and in the 2018 season, he missed 4 games due to a knee and thigh injury.
Number of Missed Games Since 2021
With the 2021 NFL season officially underway, CMC has already missed one game out of the 17-week season. This game was missed due to an ankle injury.
Injury Prevention Strategies
Realizing the importance of playing a full season, CMC has implemented a number of preventive strategies to help protect his health. These strategies include:
- Weight Training: CMC regularly works out to help strengthen his muscles and prevent future injuries.
- Yoga: Regular stretching helps CMC maintain flexibility and range of motion.
- Nutrition: CMC implements optimal nutrition to build muscle and remain in peak physical condition.
- Rest: CMC is mindful of getting proper rest between games and practices to ensure his body is always ready to perform.
Thanks to these important strategies, CMC has been able to remain healthy throughout most of his NFL career. But even with these strategies in place, the risk of injury is still present – as we have seen with his recent ankle injury. Hopefully CMC is able to fully recover and make a return to the field soon.
