Early Life

Johnson was born in Flat Creek, Missouri in 1949. As a child, he exhibited an aptitude for music, taking guitar and piano lessons. His family moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he attended Wichita South High School and sang in the school choir. After high school, Johnson moved to California to pursue an acting career.
